But our journey doesn't end there. We believe in the power of collaboration and the strength that comes from unity. That's why we invite black gay content creators, influencers, and allies to join us in spreading news, tips, and stories that amplify our voices. By linking up and working together, we can create a concentrated platform that serves as a reliable source of information for our community and our allies. Together, we can bridge the gap, ensure our stories are heard, and foster a sense of belonging and empowerment.

HOW TO CELEBRATE SAINT PATRICK'S DAY THIS WEEKEND!

Hey NubianNew Yorkers, ...hoping you find a four-leaf clover this weekend, I mean, I HOPE YOU GET LUCKY! 😂

Here in New York is like being in a big gumbo pot.  We got a million cultures bubbling together, and St. Patrick's Day is our chance to celebrate the Irish in style.

Green everything, shamrocks everywhere, and enough food and drinks to make your lucky charm blush!  Here in the city, we know variety is the spice of life, so diggin' into different cultures isnt just educational, it keeps things spicy!

Now some folks might be history buffs and know that St. Patrick's Day, on March 17th every year, honors the patron saint of Ireland, the OG himself, Saint Patrick. Dude got kidnapped by the Irish when he was a kid, then came back later to spread the word about Christianity. Respect!  Anyway, people been celebrating him for over a thousand years, but hey, who doesn't love a good reason to party?

Now normally, St. Patrick's Day in the week can be a snoozefest. Everyone's gotta work, recharge their social batteries, you know the drill. But guess what? This year it's on a SUNDAY!  That's right, NubianNew Yorkers, a whole freakin' weekend to celebrate! We're talkin' Friday night, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday – a green extravaganza!

So, how can you get in on the fun? Here's the lowdown on goin' small or goin' all out:

Small-scale shenanigans:

1. Grab a green grub or drink at your favorite spot – Starbucks, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, take your pick!  Green milkshakes for everyone!

2. Rock some green! Shirt, hat, socks, heck, wear a green garbage bag if that's your vibe. Go full leprechaun!

3. Dollar stores are your friend! Grab some cheap decorations, or rep your Irish pride with a green ribbon on your bag.  Festive on a budget, baby!

4. Feeling social? Sip some green brews with a friend or two at home, or hit the bar scene one night this weekend.

Big-time bashes:

1. The parade!  Duuuuuh!  Fifth Avenue turns into a river of green with floats, music, and enough Irish dancers to make your feet tap.

2. Irish Feast Potluck!  Gather your crew and have everyone bring a dish – corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, the whole shebang! Don't forget the green beer, of course.

3. Learn a Jig!  Channel your inner Riverdance with an Irish dance class. It's exercise, it's fun, and it's a great way to connect with Irish culture.

4. History buff alert!  Dive deep into Irish heritage. Museums, online research, the whole kit and kaboodle. You might be surprised by what you find!

5. Feeling adventurous?  Take a weekend trip to a city with a big Irish scene – Boston, Chicago, or even right here in NYC!

Hey, let me know in the comments if I missed anything!  Your boy here is half-Jamaican, half-Panamanian, so I ain't exactly an Irish history professor. But hey, I'm always down to learn!

No matter what you do, NubianNew Yorkers, have a fantastic weekend!  Erin Go Bragh!  Have a gay old time!

…And cheers!
