NubianNewYorkers - Democrats Are Not a Party—They Are a Body!

Democrats are not just a political party. They are more like a human body. In a body, different organs do different jobs, but they all work together to keep the body alive and healthy. The heart pumps blood, the brain makes decisions, the muscles move us, and the ears help us hear. Each part matters.

In the same way, Democrats are made up of different groups and organizations. Some focus on justice, some on policy, some on community, and others on communication. Each one is like an organ. They may not all do the same thing, or do it the same way, but together, they keep the whole body moving forward.

That’s why it's silly for Democrats to fight each other over who is the “real” or “right” kind of Democrat. The foot doesn’t argue with the ear, and the brain doesn’t fight the heart. Each has its own job. They don’t compete—they cooperate. When there’s a real fight—like protecting rights, freedoms, and democracy—the muscles step in. They’re the defenders. They push back against enemies, foreign and domestic, who try to hurt us.

Some people try to judge the whole Democratic "body" based on what one organ does at one moment. That’s like calling a person broken just because their knee hurts. If the knee is weak, you strengthen it with therapy—or replace it. You don’t throw away the whole body.

Democrats need a big-picture plan. Liberalism means listening to different voices. That means people will disagree sometimes—but that’s okay. The leg might want to kick, and that’s fine. But the brain decides when and how to kick, so the whole body is ready for the fight and the comeback. The arm wants to swing, but the brain tells it when, because smart timing wins battles—not just strength.

What matters most is teamwork. We have to stop acting like each part of the body is more important than the others. It's not about either/or—it’s about both/and. We need every organ doing its part, not tearing each other down.

Take President Joe Biden—he’s like the heart. Steady, important, and pumping energy (and policy) through the whole body. But the heart can’t fight alone. If the muscles don’t push, there’s no action. If the brain isn’t thinking, we’re on autopilot. All the parts have to show up.

Meanwhile, our political enemies have stopped using their brains. They’ve replaced thinking with Fox News and feelings. Their heart might still beat, and their muscles might still move, but their body is being eaten by an orange cancer that attacks every organ it touches.

They run on feelings, not facts. But feelings change all the time. One day they’re up, the next they’re down. That’s not a strong foundation. Let them build a foundation on the fickle floor of feelings. We, on the other hand, build on facts—solid, real, and true.

We need to use those facts like a lawyer in court—to teach the public. We can show videos where the other side says one thing today and the opposite tomorrow. We can show how parts of their body aren’t  dping their jobs—because the orange cancer is in control.

In the end, we must remember: The part of the body that’s good at campaigning isn’t always the same part that’s good at governing. Muscles win fights, but brains win plans. Hearts keep us going, but eyes help us see where we're headed.

Here is a simplified example of what I'm talking about (there are many more 'Organ s' than listed and many of the body parts have a left and right side)

Brain (Leadership): Just as the brain is the control center of the body, the leadership of a political party sets the direction and makes key decisions. They strategize, plan, and guide the party towards its goals.

Heart (Ideology): The heart pumps blood to all parts of the body, keeping it alive and functioning. Similarly, the ideology of a political party is its lifeblood, providing the core beliefs and principles that guide its actions and decisions.

Mouth (Communication): The mouth allows us to express our thoughts and feelings. In a political party, the communication team is responsible for expressing the party's views, policies, and ideologies to the public and the media. Making sure to use the same poll tested talking points in every interview or speech. Campaigns are communication competitions and effective ads and advocacy comes the same wording over and over and over again.

Hands (Party Workers): Hands allow us to perform tasks and get work done. Party workers are the hands of a political party, carrying out the groundwork, mobilizing support, and implementing the party's plans and policies.

Skeleton (Structure): The skeleton provides structure and support to the body. The organizational structure of a political party, including its committees and sub-committees, provides a framework within which it operates.

Eyes (Research and Analysis): The eyes allow us to see and understand our surroundings. The research and analysis wing of a political party helps it understand the political landscape, public opinion, and policy impact.

Ears (Public Feedback): Ears help us listen to what's happening around us. A political party must also listen to public feedback and grievances to understand their needs and expectations.

Feet (Local Branches): Feet help us move and reach different places. Local branches of a political party help it reach out to different geographical areas and communities, spreading its ideology and influence.

Different parts have different opinions, functions, strategies, strengths and weaknesses.. its importantfor the brain to know when to  use each part how and why
 .

Every organ matters. Every Democrat matters. And together—we are strong.

NubianNewYorkers - How to Tell if a Down-Low (DL) Dude is Into You — The Lowdown, No Drama..

Alright, my friend, if you’re wondering whether that DL guy’s got a little crush on you but he’s playing it cool, here’s the secret decoder ring for his moves. It’s all in the way he acts, talks, and even sneaks glances your way. Let’s break it down like we’re chatting over a cold one.

Body Language: The Silent Love Language

    Eye Contact:
Does he look you dead in the eye when you’re talking? Or maybe he’s sneaking peeks when you’re not looking? That’s him trying to say, “Hey, I’m interested,” without actually saying it.

    Copycat Moves (Mirroring):
If you cross your legs and he does the same, or you lean in and suddenly he’s leaning in too, that’s no accident. It means he’s tuned into your vibe.

    Getting Closer:
Is he leaning toward you, opening up his body like he’s saying, “I’m all ears”? That’s a big hint he wants to be closer — physically or emotionally.

How He Acts Around You: The Clues You Can’t Miss

    Flattery Game Strong:
If he’s tossing compliments your way — “Nice shirt,” or “You’re funny” — he’s trying to butter you up. And hey, who doesn’t like a little praise?

    Memory Master:
Does he remember your favorite coffee order or that random thing you said last week? That’s him paying attention, which means you’re on his mind.

Showing Off (In a Good Way):
Maybe he talks about his skills, hobbies, or that time he nailed something cool. He’s trying to impress you, plain and simple.

    Playful Teasing:
If he’s poking fun at you (in a nice way) or laughing at your jokes — even the lame ones — that’s flirting 101.

    Jealous Much?
If he looks a little bothered when you chat with other guys, that’s a red flag (or maybe a green light) that he cares more than he’s letting on.

    Sneaky Touches:
A light tap on your arm, a hand that lingers — these are his way of saying, “I want to be close.”

    Making You Laugh:
If he’s cracking jokes, being silly, or just making the whole vibe more fun when you’re around, he’s definitely into you.

Is there a tip we left out? PLEASE let us know in the comments so we can put in a future blog and let us know what you would like to see MORE OF, here at NubianNewYorkers.com!

also.. put in the comments, YOUR ANSWER TO THE QUESTION BELOW.

NubianNewYorkers - WHAT TO DO IF YOUR MEDICAID GETS CUT - ( 4 Important Things To Do)

 NubianNewYorkers,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some helpful steps in case anyone’s Medicaid or healthcare coverage gets cut (or ends by mistake). I know this can be stressful, but you’re not alone-we can get through this together!

Here’s what you can do if your Medicaid stops:

1. Call Your State Medicaid Office
- Reach out to the Medicaid office in your state as soon as you can.
- They can tell you why your coverage ended and what you need to do next.
- If you got a letter about your coverage ending, it should have instructions on how to appeal or fix things.

2. Appeal If You Think It’s a Mistake
- If you believe your coverage ended by mistake, you have the right to appeal.
- Usually, you have about 90 days from when you got the letter to ask for an appeal. The Medicaid office can help you with this.

3. Try to Get Your Coverage Back
- If your coverage ended less than 90 days ago, you might be able to get it back by turning in the right forms.
- If it’s been more than 90 days, you’ll probably need to apply again. The Medicaid office will tell you how to do this.

4. Look at Other Health Insurance Options
- If you can’t get Medicaid back, check if you can get health insurance through your job.
- You can also look at the Health Insurance Marketplace for other plans. Sometimes, you can get help paying for these plans.

Remember:
- Keep all letters and paperwork you get about your coverage.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The people at the Medicaid office are there to help you.
- If you need help with paperwork or phone calls, let me or another family member know-we’re here for each other!

Stay strong, and don’t give up.

With love and care,
E-MAN

NubianNewYorkers - Take Action Now: Legal Tactics to Make Politicians Listen to YOU

Hey NubianNewYorkers... my family, my friends..

Adorable ones, I hope you’re all feeling bright today! I want to talk to you about something close to my heart-how each of us, born right here in the United States, has the power to shape our future by speaking up to our government.

Your voice, my friend, is a treasure. When we use it together, we can create the kind of world we want to live in.

Sometimes, it can feel like only rich people or big companies get to talk to politicians, but that’s not true at all. When you and your family reach out to your local representative, you are showing them what real people in their community care about.

If something happens-a problem at school, in your neighborhood, or even a family emergency-it helps so much to already have a friendly connection with your local politician’s office.

They are there to help you, and when they know your name and your story, they can listen and act even faster. Lobbying isn’t just for the powerful, it’s for everyone, and your voice can make a big difference!

Let me show you how you can get your voice heard-this is called “lobbying,” and it’s easier than you think:

1. Find Out Who Represents You

First things first, adorable one: you need to know who your local politicians are. Even if you didn’t vote for them, they still work for you! You can find them online using these helpful sites:

    USAGov Elected Officials Tool
    https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials

House of Representatives “Find Your Representative”
    https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

    270toWin “Who Represents Me?”
    https://www.270towin.com/who-represents-me/

    Ballotpedia “Who Represents Me?”
    https://ballotpedia.org/Who_represents_me

2. Plan Your Meeting OR Communicate Online

Politicians are busy, but remember, my family, their job is to listen to you. Check their website or call their office to find out when you can meet them. Many hold “town hall meetings” where anyone can speak up. Mark it on your calendar and get ready!

AND/OR

U.S. citizens have several effective ways to communicate online with their elected representatives:

    Email:

Most elected officials have official websites with contact forms or published email addresses. Sending a personalized, concise email is one of the fastest and most effective ways to share your views. Always include your name and address so they know you are a constituent, and clearly state the issue and your request

.

Official Contact Tools:

Websites like the USA.Gov 'Elected Officials Tool, help you find your representatives and their official contact information, including email and web forms

.

Social Media:

Many members of Congress and local officials actively use platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to interact with constituents. You can tag them in posts, reply to their updates, or send direct messages. Social media is public, so your message may get more attention, but always keep it respectful and focused

.

Advocacy Platforms:

Services like Resistbot let you send messages to your representatives by texting, using Messenger, or other chat apps. Resistbot will find your officials for you and deliver your message as a fax, email, or letters

.

3. Know What to Say

Think about what matters most to you-maybe it’s helping families in need or making your neighborhood safer. Be clear and keep your message short. Know a few facts about your issue, and have a simple request, like asking them to support a law or speak up about your concern.

4. Take Notes and Pictures

When you meet your representative, write down what you talked about, especially if they promise to do something. Take a photo together! It’s a great memory, and sometimes the local newspaper might want to share your story.

5. Follow Up

After your meeting, send a thank you note. Ask if they’ve done what they promised. And don’t forget to tell others in our community about your experience-when you share your journey, you inspire others to find their voice, too.

Remember, my adorable ones, thinking ahead and taking these steps shows true wisdom and care for our future. Lobbying isn’t just for adults or experts-it’s for everyone, and especially for thoughtful, caring people like you.

I’m so proud of you, my friends. Let’s keep lifting each other up and making our voices heard. Together, there’s nothing we can’t do!

With all my admiration,
E-MAN

NubianNewYorkers - Thinking About Moving to Africa? (At least til after the next Prez election?) Let’s Talk Options

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking into places where we can live as Black gay men without all the stress we face here. Africa has some great options, but we need to be smart about it. Here’s what I found:

Ghana – Since 2019, Ghana has been welcoming Black folks from the U.S. through the Year of Return program. It’s full of culture and history, and you’ll see Black people everywhere, which feels amazing. But keep in mind: being gay isn’t fully accepted there. There’s a growing LGBTQ+ community in Accra, but we’d need to be careful and connect with locals who know the scene.

South Africa – This is the best option for living openly. Cape Town has beaches, art, and a strong LGBTQ+ community. Same-sex marriage is legal here, so you can be yourself without hiding. Johannesburg is busier, with more creative energy. The drag scene and social life are thriving—definitely a place where we can live freely.

Kenya – Nairobi has modern city life, nature, and a cool vibe. But like Ghana, being gay is still illegal, so the queer community is more underground. If you go, link up with local LGBTQ+ groups to stay safe and connected.

Liberia – This country has deep ties to Black history, but LGBTQ+ rights aren’t strong yet. It’s more for those who want a connection to heritage but are okay keeping things private.

Benin & Togo – Beautiful places with rich culture, but not safe for living openly as LGBTQ+. Better for short visits than long-term stays.

If you’re serious about leaving, South Africa is the safest choice. Ghana and Kenya are great but require caution. Let me know if you want more details—I’m happy to keep researching.

Stay safe and proud,

E-man
